Who am I?
Since I can remember, I have been painting and drawing. I was very shy as a kid, and to me, drawings were a way to escape to a different world. I sometimes drew myself and how I wanted to be. A ballet danser, a princess wearing beautiful clothes.
Acting, dancing, singing and writing were also things I did. When I was 18, I started studying Theatre at the Amsterdam University of the Arts, during which time I have both written and directed several plays, and have made montage performances with a large focus on design and visual aesthetic.
However, I could simply not let go of visual art. I started working as a tour guide and educational worker for renowned Dutch museums such as the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh museum and the Stedelijk Museum. In 2018, I started taking painting classes as well, which have made me particularly driven in creating more illustrative works, and in the coming years, I want to completely focus on improving my illustrative skills.
I have a love for fashion, film, theatre, and often get inspired by these works, which is why I particularly prefer drawing and painting people and situations.
